Landscape weaving workshop 10/03/25
Transform a landscape into a woven tapestry using a range of weaving techniques and deadstock materials.
We will be working on a loom and creating lots of texture to mimic a gorgeous sunset, waterfall, landscape, etc. The materials we will weave with will include papers, fabrics, yarn, plastics and other bits and bobs. We will be relying less on traditional weaving structures and more on how we can create texture and replicate the colours in our inspo.
Your loom will already be set up and ready for you to get stuck in when you arrive.
When you have finished your piece it will be finished with an edge and a piece of yarn to hang your piece up with.
Please come to the workshop with a landscape or inspiration image with you. Look for vivid colours and interesting textures when researching!
This workshop will take place at Cow Parsley Studio, Viables Craft centre, The Harrow Way, RG22 4BJ, Basingstoke. It will run from 11:00 - 13:00.
